Our priority for the next couple of months
will be the construction and the refurbishing of the new preschool. The objective is to have the school ready this school year.
With the rebuilding efforts in the region,
the government plans to integrate preschools into some of the new primary schools being built through government initiatives. In these cases, Assafou will convert their existing preschool structures in these areas into after-school centers for elementary and middle school children. Some of the centers will require repair as they were damaged by the quake.
Provide women’s centers
with supplies needed to increase productivity for their business initiatives and assist them in the sales of their products.
Build a soccer field in Tizi Ouadou
The current field has been overtaken by displaced families. With the school year coming to an end, the soccer field will provide an avenue for the kids to play and enjoy their summer break.
