On behalf of the children of Al-Haouz region and the staff and volunteers of Assafou, thank you for your continuous support, your generous donations, and for your trust. You have been great partners, loyal friends, and generous contributors.
In our last newsletter, we talked about what we had achieved, the earthquake, the challenges that followed, and how your generous contributions have allowed us to provide relief to the earthquake’s victims, to put the children who attend our preschools back in the classroom, and to support the women who use our centers in their return to work.
We are excited to share important updates on our centers, the efforts undertaken by Assafou since our last communication, and our upcoming projects. In the past few months, we have been working hard to assess needs, provide support, and build new partnerships. As indicated in our previous newsletter, the devastating earthquake impacted all members of society. We therefore plan to extend our support to elementary and middle school students, and in a few villages, to the men who have lost their jobs.
We believe that support to the villagers will keep the children in school and bring economic stability to local families. That being said, our primary focus will remain the wellbeing of preschoolers and women.
Finally, we are excited to share our new logo. It represents all the members of society that we support.
